Trip to Boston

The weather was great on Saturday, so we headed into Boston for lunch and a walk through Boston Common. Kyle got to sit on one of the ducks from the famous, "Make Way for Ducklings" book.

 
 
 
 

He Sits!

Kyle's newest skill is sitting up on his own with no help from mom and dad. He does tip over now and then, but he's really getting the hang of this sitting thing!

First Tooth!

As you can see from the first 2 pictures, it was very, very difficult to get a good shot of Kyle's tooth. But, I got one! A little blurry, but you can see his first tooth. Our boy is growing up!

Prunes!

This is what happens when you feed your baby prunes, he sticks his hand in his mouth, then rubs his eye:

Kyle's first tooth is popping through which is very exciting! But unfortunately this new tooth makes for one cranky baby boy. He wasn't himself all weekend long and really wanted to be held. So, he took a nap on dad. (How cute is that little baby bum?)

What a Stud Muffin!

Dad changed Kyle and then thought it would be funny to bring him downstairs with his chest on display.

Kyle's latest quirk is that he likes to bend back and hang upside down. Sometimes there is no stopping him. He just arches back and you have to hold on!

Weekend Fun!

We had some more nice weather so we spent a little time out on the deck. Kyle really enjoyed watching the birds flying!



Saturday night, Kim and Kevin came for a visit. They hadn't seen Kyle since he was 1 week old, so a lot has changed!






And Sunday we went to the park! Kyle hasn't been to the park since he was still in Devon's belly. He had a great time watching all the dogs run around. A few even jumped on the bench to say hello to him.

We got hassled about the Cardinals hat since opening day is tomorrow and we are in Red Sox Nation. But Mimi and Grandpa bought this hat for him and we had to protect the boy from the sun!

School Pictures!

Kyle's daycare center had a photographer in for photos a few weeks back. The first time they tried to take his pictures, they put him on his belly when he was tired and hungry. Needless to say, they got no pictures since he was hysterical!

They tried the next day and he smiled for them! You can see in the 2nd picture that he was probably a little sad, but at least we have one of him smiling!

Best Buds

Kyle likes sweet potatoes!

The Dr. said if Kyle did well with his rice cereal, we could start baby food after a week. Well, he liked the rice cereal and did well with it, but we think he got bored! So after a week, we went to orange veggies, which was our pediatrician's suggestion. Kyle definitely likes sweet potatoes!

Such a Happy Guy!

We've discovered something new that Kyle loves . . . Airplane! And, it turns out he likes funny kisses on his cheek. I always knew I loved doing it, but apparently Kyle thinks it's pretty funny.

And, he clearly LOVES kisses from his mama!

4 Month Update!

Kyle had his 4 month check up today. Dr. said Kyle is perfect, but we already knew that. He is 16 pounds even and 25 1/4 inches long. 75th percentile for weight, 60th for height. He got some shots and cried a bit, but he snapped back and was fine for the rest of the day.

We also got the go ahead from the Dr. to start Kyle on some rice cereal. If he does well with it and enjoys it, we can start some orange veggies in a couple weeks. Our little man is growing up!

We'll be sure to take pictures of Kyle trying out food.

Finally some nice weather!

It was so warm yesterday, we decided to go out for a walk in the neighborhood. (Unfortunately we are getting 6-10 inches of snow tomorrow!)
