K-Dogg Returns

Yes, I'm back dating posts but gimme a break. The Massaros post ten times a day, the Moens have a dog that rescues people, the Fitzgeralds have a kid that runs marathons, the Nickersons are having a baby and the Shale/Lefferts have 2 kids to show off. I gotta keep up somehow.

A Scorcher!

It was very hot out today so I ran out and bought a kiddie pool for Kyle. The water was very cold but he didn't seem to mind!

Kyle's showing you his best "I don't feel so good" face in the second picture.

Gentle...

Devon tells me you have to SHOW babies what gentle means and not just tell them. OK Dr. Spock, whatever you say...

Time Machine

We love getting old photos from family. This one came from Great Grandma Todd:

Triathlon training day 2

Yesterday, the pool. Today, the treadmill.

Swim Lessons!

Today was our first swim class. We had no idea how Kyle would react, but he had a great time! He talked up a storm and seemed to really enjoy himself. He kicked, reached out for floating toys and splashed a ton.

This was the first of 8 classes. Next week we'll get, as the instructor said, "more adventurous". I can only guess what we'll be doing!

Watermelon!

We're trying out this whole self-feeding thing. Today we gave watermelon a shot!

Mom, what is this?

I don't know if I like this!

Ok, I like it!

DeCordova Sculpture Park

We were looking for something new to do and decided to visit the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park. It's a very cool place! Kyle enjoyed sitting in the grass and checking out all of the art.

Dad and Kyle Napping

I heard them playing upstairs, and after a while I heard nothing. I went up to check on them and this is what I found. Everyone say, "awwww". (Yes, that is one binkie in his mouth and an auxiliary just in case!)

Weekend in NYC

We spent Memorial Day weekend (and our 2 year anniversary!) in NYC. We had a fantastic time walking all over the city showing Kyle all of the fun things to do. Kyle made his first (of many, I'm sure) appearances on TV. We were in the background on Fox News, Mimi and Grandpa Miller even saw him!

Here's one of Kyle and Dad attempting to get onto The Today Show - sadly, we failed at that attempt!

Nana drove into the city to meet up with us. Here's Nana with Kyle in Madison Square Park. Kyle had a great time playing with Nana's camera and her necklace.

We all met up with Great Uncle Andy for lunch. Kyle thought Uncle Andy was a good time!

Mom leaning in for a smooch with Kyle at the Central Park Zoo.

Kyle as a bunny!

As you can see, Kyle thinks sheep are pretty cool.

Kickin' it in Central Park

Kyle was such a trooper, staying up way past his bedtime so we could enjoy NYC at night. You can see here that he loved Times Square. (don't mind the bottle of water he's holding, for some reason he thinks they're hysterical!)

College Fund

If anyone wants to send money for Kyle's college fund, I think he's picked a school already....

Kyle's Mother's Day Art

The other day Kyle came home from daycare with yellow toenails. Now I know why! He was busy making me a special Mother's Day gift that included footprints.

Cassie is 3!

Not only did we celebrate our first Mother's Day today, but we also celebrated Cassie's third birthday.

Special cookie from Mimi:

It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating her first and second birthdays!

First Haircut

Kyle's hair was getting really long, especially on the sides and in the back so we took him to a place called Snip Its to get his hair cut. He did great! He sat in the chair all by himself and sat still the whole time. They saved some of his hair in a little baggie and we took it with us for Kyle's baby book.

Here are a few pictures and a video of Kyle's first haircut.

And just to compare-- here is a picture from Todd's first haircut:

Trip to Boston

The weather was great on Saturday, so we headed into Boston for lunch and a walk through Boston Common. Kyle got to sit on one of the ducks from the famous, "Make Way for Ducklings" book.

He Sits!

Kyle's newest skill is sitting up on his own with no help from mom and dad. He does tip over now and then, but he's really getting the hang of this sitting thing!
